“GETTING CHEF’S WHAT THEY WANT, WHEN THEY WANT IT”
Welcome to Indian Rock Products!
From farmer, to chef, to supplier and back. For Al Buehrer it is an odyssey that has made him one of the most successful produce suppliers in the country.
Raised on a Bucks County farm, Al learned a love of food; growing it, harvesting it, and selling it through the family restaurant
After Al's father passed away in 1966, Al became the overseer of the farm and restaurant until 1971 when he sold it to open Indian Rock Inn in Upper Black Eddy.
Knowing the benefits of farm fresh ingredients and his ability to find both beautiful and unusual produce had many area chefs seeking Al's help with their produce needs.
In 1986 Al sold Indian Rock Inn.
From 1986 to 2003 Indian Rock Produce and chestnut spring farms brought the unheard of and the unusual to the north east and air shipped across the country. As the Bueher''s produce business went from nothing to a 20-million-dollar business. Al decided to take his family back to his roots.
In the mid 2000 he purchased chestnut spring farms and began the micro green craze. Along with fresh harvested organic fruits and vegetables.
Indian rock produce prospered.
“we were selling micro greens to California! ”
After September 11, 2001, when the restaurant industry was hit especially hard so was Indian Rock.
Here we are today "Indian Rock Products".
We come to you with the same goal of getting a chef what they want when they want it.
Al and his family will take great pleasure in adding you as a customer.
